PARTNERSHIPS & SPONSORSHIPS OFFICER

OVERVIEW

Start Date: February 2025

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week 

Reports to: Director of Development

Salary: $55,000

Location: This is a hybrid position based in Bellevue, WA, with both in-office and remote work components.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Partnerships & Sponsorships Officer at ZGiRLS, your mission is to help us financially support and sustain our transformative programs through strategic and collaborative partnerships. You are a connector at heart—someone who thrives on building genuine relationships and finding creative ways to team up for a common cause. With many of our participants receiving scholarships, your role in securing sponsorships and partnerships is vital to ensuring ZGiRLS continues to grow and make an impact. You’ll take the lead in crafting compelling proposals, sharing the ZGiRLS story, and forging meaningful collaborations with sponsors, grantors, and brand partners. If you love connecting with people, communicating with purpose, and working toward something bigger than yourself, this role is for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sponsorship Acquisition: Identify and secure financial sponsorships, in-kind donations, and partnerships with corporate and community organizations.

  • Proposal Creation: Prepare and deliver compelling, detailed proposals that inspire potential sponsors to support ZGiRLS.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture long-term relationships with sponsors, grantors, and brands that align with ZGiRLS’ vision and goals.

  • Revenue Generation: Establish revenue-generating partnerships that directly support programmatic and operational needs.

  • Reporting and Relationship Management: Maintain clear and effective communication with potential and existing partners, providing regular updates and fostering ongoing engagement.

  • Storytelling & Presentations: Share ZGiRLS' mission, vision, and impact in an authentic, engaging way through presentations, meetings, and conversations.

  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, sponsorship opportunities, and new prospects that align with ZGiRLS’ mission and audience.

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVES

  • You’re someone who genuinely enjoys putting themselves out there, connecting with people, and building relationships.

  • Proven experience in partnership development or sponsorship acquisition.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for persuasive and clear proposal writing.

  • Strategic thinker with a clear focus on generating revenue through partnerships.

  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, with a strong goal-oriented approach.

EXTRA CREDIT IF YOU…

  • Have a background in non-profit fundraising, corporate partnerships, or grant writing.

  • Possess existing contacts and relationships in corporate sponsorship circles.

  • Are experienced in negotiating and securing high-value partnerships.

  • Have a track record of securing funding for programs focused on youth, education, or sports.
