PROGRAM FACILITATOR VOLUNTEER
About ZGiRLS: At ZGiRLS, we’re on a mission to change the world by empowering girls to develop unshakable inner strength. We do this by equipping girls aged 11-14 with the tools and perspectives they need to build self-worth, embrace challenges, and advocate for themselves.
The Role: As a volunteer ZGiRLS Program Facilitator, you will lead the transformative online ZGiRLS Confidence Program, a 4-week program that meets for one hour each week and fosters an online community of belonging and courage. You will guide participants through the ZGiRLS Curriculum™ alongside our inspirational ZGiRLS Mentors, who are professional or Olympic female athletes.
This unique volunteer role demands a passion for teaching, a knack for engaging discussions, and a commitment to empowering the next generation with confidence and resilience. We value diversity in perspective and life experience and are eager to see how your background can enhance our programs.
Start Date: Winter 2025
Time Commitment:
Mandatory 10-hour facilitator training (prior to leading any programs).
Approximately 10 hours per 5-week program (2 hours per week), including prep time.
Minimum of 2 programs per year.
Term Length: 2-year minimum commitment
Location: Remote
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the ZGiRLS Confidence Program for up to 300 girls at a time.
Master and teach the ZGiRLS Curriculum™ in a compelling and interactive online environment.
Lead sessions with ZGiRLS Mentors (guest speakers), engaging with them to share their stories and bridging these stories with the curriculum to enhance learning outcomes.
Uphold ZGiRLS’ values at all times while interacting with participants.
QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for empowering young women and fostering community.
Experience in teaching, coaching, counseling, or psychology (preferably virtual and with middle school-aged girls).
Strong conversational skills and the ability to engage youth.
Interest or experience in mindset coaching or mental resilience training.
Organized, reliable, and skilled in managing challenging conversations.
Familiarity with online platforms and webinar tools (e.g., Zoom).
A background in sports or athletics is beneficial but not required.
Must complete a background check.
Support and Training: Facilitators will receive comprehensive online training and certification led by the Director of Programs to ensure readiness and confidence in delivering the ZGiRLS Curriculum™.
