IMPACT REPORT
MEET THE FALL ZGiRLS MENTORS
Each week, girls get to learn the ZGiRLS Curriculum™ from volunteer mentors - who are Olympic or professional female athlete - and these mentors share their personal journeys of overcoming adversity and achieving success, offering a powerful mirror to the limitless potential in each girl.

We collect weekly feedback and asked the girls:
“What did you learn about yourself this week?”
WEEK 1:
DEVELOP A GROWTH MINDSET
I can have a growth mindset and I just have to try and put in effort.
I should not put myself down because I am still growing.
I'm not perfect, but I'm great!
I should always love and respect myself.
My confidence and my mindset depends on my thoughts.
I am important and loved!
I can be confident if I believe in myself and if I give myself space to grow.
I can do anything! I also learned that it doesn’t matter what others think, I’m beautiful no matter what.
WEEK 2:
BUILD YOUR SELF-WORTH
To believe in myself and have more self confidence and respect and don’t be so hard on myself
That I’m special and I belong!!!!
I can do hard things and I should celebrate who I am!
Don't let anyone tell you who you are. You are your own unique you :) No one is the same as you in this whole entire world
I am not ugly, or weird, or different. I’m me and I’m proud of that
I am who I am and labels can not define me.
Confidence comes from me.
WEEK 3:
TAKE ON CHALLENGES & LEARN FROM FAILURE:
Failure is always a lesson you can learn from
If I fail, I’m capable of trying again
Its not the end of the world when you fail
When I make mistakes I don’t have to put myself down because I can simply learn from my mistake and make sure I do better next time.
I can learn from failure instead of being sad from it.
Don't be fearless, be brave and learn from your mistakes
I can overcome things even if they seem extremely hard.
WEEK 4:
ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF:
I am strong, capable, and can ADVOCATE FOR MYSELF.
I am capable of recognizing and stating my feelings.
No one is perfect. You can express your feelings kindly. Try your best, be yourself, and LOVE YOURSELF.
To share how I feel without blaming people.
I can express how I feel even if I am scared and not to be mean about it.
I need to use my voice
I learned that I can share my emotions and I am capable of anything.

WHAT ARE THE GIRLS STRUGGLING WITH BEFORE STARTING ZGiRLS?
During registration, we asked the parents how our program will benefit their daughters. Their answers help give us insight into how we can best support their daughter’s mental and emotional health at this pivotal time in their lives.
She severely struggles with anxiety and this popped up at just the perfect time. Her father passed of cancer almost 8 years ago now, and all of us struggle daily with anxiety and stress from life and hardships. I work very part time for our church and that is our only earned income.
My daughter struggles with self confidence and having low self esteem. She has been getting bullied about her weight for the last two years and I just want her to learn about loving herself.
My daughter struggles with focus skills in school and she has unfortunately been a part of much trauma growing up. As far as being a victim of sexual assault from an adult man. She’s needs support in lifting her spirits again. I just want my daughter back.
She’s hesitates when speaking to others, second guesses herself a lot, and has been bullied because of her weight. Refuses to make new friends or try new sports/activities with fear of letting people down. I want her to see how I see her- a strong capable and brave girl.
My daughter is a beautiful young lady but sometimes has low self esteem I just want to to know she's beautiful inside and out.
To find her confidence again to work on not letting things other kids say upset her so much. To find coping skills to deal with middle school, pressure from kids, self esteem and trying to find her self worth again. She has struggled so much with bullying.
At this current time I am currently suffering from heart failure and any help would benefit our family in so many ways. This program can help my daughter in so many ways from self esteem to goal setting and most of all confidence. I also feel this will help her feel special and help her have something for herself and not have to think about my illness and school. Thank you
To find her confidence again to work on not letting things other kids say upset her so much. To find coping skills to deal with middle school, pressure from kids, self esteem and trying to find her self worth again. She has struggled so much with bullying and girls making fun of her at school.
My daughter has a history of cutting and anxiety. She will not leave the Apt without makeup on and she’s only 12. She is currently working on some of these issues with her therapist and this class would be a nice add on and boost she may need.
She has struggled with depression and a suicide attempt. I hope her confidence will grow and help her in believing in herself.
THE ZGiRLS CONFIDENCE PROGRAM WORKS.
We’re obsessed with measuring impact.
We collect baseline, weekly, and exit surveys of program participants, supplemented by family and caretaker surveys, to measure the impact of every single program.
POSITIVE SELF-IMAGE
114% increase in girls who say they have a positive self-image.
CAN TAKE ON CHALLENGES
106% increase in girls who say they have the ability to take on challenges.
BELIEF IN ONESELF
97% increase in girls who say they believe in themselves.
If you could give another girl advice on how to step into her confidence, what you would you tell her?
After the program, we ask every ZGiRLS to give advice to a future ZGiRL.
