The Impact of Your Story

What Confidence Truly Means

At ZGiRLS, we believe confidence is more than a feeling—it’s a skill that can be nurtured and strengthened. Here’s how we define confidence, as shared in our Mindset Journal:

  • Confidence is trusting yourself.

  • It’s believing you can grow and improve.

  • It’s recognizing your inner strength and celebrating what makes you unique.

  • It’s learning from every failure and setback.

  • It’s being brave, even when fear is present.

  • It’s sharing who you are and how you feel because you are worth it.

When you share your story as a ZGiRLS Guest Speaker, you’re helping girls see that confidence is something they can build every day. Your journey becomes their inspiration, showing them that challenges are stepping stones, not roadblocks, and that they have the power to rise above and thrive.

Your voice matters, and your story could be the spark that ignites lasting change in their lives.

The ZGiRLS Confidence Program provides

mental health tools we wish we had growing up!

  • DEVELOP A GROWTH MINDSET

Starts by believing in the possibility of success through effort and hard work. They will recognize the impact of self-talk and emotions on actions.

  • BUILD SELF-WORTH

Our girls will build an understanding that they are worthy of success and belonging. They don’t have to lean on acceptance of others to know they are worthy.

  • TAKE ON CHALLENGES & LEARN FROM FAILURE

Failures are guaranteed to happen in life. Our girls will learn to embrace them, take action, and learn to be brave, not fearless.

  • ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF

Speaking up can be hard. Our girls will be equipped with strategies to communicate her needs, confront conflict, and build healthy relationships.
