The ZGiRLS Gifts and Partnerships Officer is responsible for stewarding existing supporters and building key relationships to activate a community of engaged ZGiRLS partners and donors. You will cultivate a community of world changers by inviting them to help ZGiRLS make a positive impact on the world.  You will be an innovative, creative and passionate relationship manager and fundraiser.  You recognize the awesome responsibility of representing and advocating on behalf of ZGiRLS.


Fundraising Development & Management

  • Develop a robust, new community of gift supporters and engage key long-term donors and prospects through relationship building to raise funds for confidence-building programs.
  • Develop a metrics-driven strategy for our community of supporters and work towards a goal in 2019.
  • Analyze supporter data to find new opportunities and ensure all activities are measurable to drive efficiencies and maximize results.
  • Brainstorm and engage in new community building opportunities to attract new donors and partners (example: speaking opportunities, conferences, workshops, etc.)

Crowdfunding Fundraising Campaign

  • Organize and manage annual crowdfunding campaign (November launch)
  • Mobilize and activate community of supporters to engage and participate in annual crowdfunding campaign.
  • Create new messaging, copy, and curate images for fundraising campaign pages.
  • Aid ZGiRLS’ crowdfunding champions in building Crowdrise campaign page and launching their campaign as a team.
  • Cultivate a collaborative a supportive team environment for crowdfunding campaign fundraising team.

Donor Stewardship and Community Cultivation

  • Help coordinate intimate events where the ZGiRLS story can be shared.
  • Cultivate relationships with the current supporters in the ZGiRLS community and invite them to grow their annual gifts to ZGiRLS.
  • Learn, study, and become an expert on ZGiRLS programmatic work as well as become informed and articulate about female adolescent confidence issues.
  • Come up with innovative ways to show donors the return on their investment. You’ll surprise and delight them with creative ways to show our appreciation.
  • Be an articulate and engaging storyteller to inspire donors to increase their support of ZGiRLS.
  • Hand write notes and send snail mail (yes, we love it!).

Annual Gala Event Planning

  • In collaboration with the ZGiRLS Board of Directors, and Executive Director, you will spearhead the planning and execution of the annual ZGiRLS Gala in March.
  • Hold responsibility for event project managing the Gala. This includes details like: securing Gala speakers, coordinating event vendors, managing guest lists and invitations, helping recruit and manage volunteers, etc.

Corporate Partnerships & Sponsors

  • Brainstorm and engage in new partnership/sponsorship and in-kind donation opportunities.
  • Actively outreach to prospective corporate partners/sponsors and in-kind donations in support of program needs.
  • Manage current and prospective corporate partnership and sponsor relationships
  • Manage database of in-kind donated materials and actively reach out to corporate sponsors to replenish as needed.


  • Located in Seattle area
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • An incredible passion for the ZGiRLS mission that invigorates and excites everyone with whom you share it with
  • Outstanding communication skills, articulate and persuasive, with well-honed relationship building skills
  • Drive and sophistication, excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of ZGiRLS fundraising and the organization as a whole
  • A team-orientation and strong work ethic, essential for this demanding environment that continually strives for excellence
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the presence and personal style to represent ZGiRLS to multiple constituents
  • Enjoys stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new challenges.
  • Loves hand-writing notes and creating donor appreciation packages.
  • Loves spending time with girls ages 11-16 and has the energy to be in a youth-centric environment on a weekly basis.
  • Works independently and is self-managed
  • Is willing to work flexible hours: weekend camps or week-long programs
  • Is positive, self-reflective, open to feedback
